Served as Chair of the MARSQA (Mid-Atlantic Region Society of Quality Assurance) Education Committee for three years. Developed MARSQA courses in Good Laboratory Practices and Interpersonal Communication. Member of the Society of Quality Assurance and served on Program Committee and Education Committee. Gave presentations at national SQA meetings on communications, GLP training, and creative training techniques. More than 25 years experience in chromatographic analysis, quality control and methods development. Experience in training professionals in GLP, chromatography principles and in managing analytical laboratories. Participated in designing and instructing a MARSQA course on, "Principles in Auditing Analytical Laboratories." Presented "Understanding Chromatographic Analysis" at the 1998 SQA Meeting in Denver, Colorado. Life member of "Chromatography Forum of Delaware Valley." Ms. Simmons is trained in advanced conflict resolution, media and crisis intervention. She served as Executive Director of the Peace Center and on the executive steering committee for the country-wide Violence Prevention Task Force. She gave presentations at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Society of Quality Assurance workshop on Interpersonal Communications For Quality Assurance Professionals.
