Our philosophy is represented by our logo, which is a triangle enclosed in a "Deming Shewhart Cycle," - Plan, Do, Study, Act. This Cycle is commonly used for Total Quality Improvement.

bulletPlan means deciding what to do, considering what was done.
bulletDo means do what you have decided, preferably on a small scale.
bulletStudy means to observe the effects of the change you implemented.
bulletAct means to act upon what you have learned.

The Cycle is continuous, in fact the Japanese visualize it spiraling upward.

The edges of the triangle represent the Student, Trainer, and Subject. The improvement Cycle can be visualized to act on the Student, Trainer, and Subject individually or all at once.

The triangle is red, representing passion. The Cycle is blue, representing Process (blue represents process in the "six hats" technique, a creative tool devised by Edward DeBono, the creativity guru.) On a white surface the combination is red, white, and, blue – a patriotic touch.

Our Logo represents what we in TBD Enterprises stand for: constant improvement in training techniques focusing both independently and as a whole on the Student, Trainer, and Subject (improving ourselves).

Most importantly, we train with a passion and we consider long term effects of our training, the big picture.

The Cycle, devised by Deming and Shewhart in 1926, is just as powerful today. The process is similar to the scientific method – gather ideas, try them out, find out what works, develop a hypothesis.

The effectiveness of visualizing our Logo for training comes from its focus on only three elements at one time – Student, Trainer, Subject.

Narrowed to only three elements, concentration increases. Interestingly, the Logo can be used to explore other areas of interest by changing the items on the three edges of the triangle.
